Our philosophy for our programs is based on the biblical truths:
"Children are a gift from God; they are His reward." (Psalm 127:3) and
"Teach a child to choose the right path, and when he is older he will remain upon it." (Proverbs 22:6)
- We believe that children should be provided with a positive, healthy, learning environment that supports and stimulates the growth and development of every child mentally, emotionally, physically and spiritually.
- We believe in the necessity of sharing God's love for the children through Bible stories, songs and attitudes.
- We believe in supplying materials and equipment that will enhance each child's strengths and foster their needs giving them a positive concept of their ability to contribute to society.
- We believe in supporting and maintaining positive relationships with parents and their children regardless of race or culture.
- We believe that having a child placed in our care is a privilege as well as a responsibility and our childcare staff will be of highest quality, selected to meet the needs of children and the concerns of parents.
Our program will provide the involved children with many varied activities to stimulate creativity and give each child a chance to explore, discuss and discover new things. Jesus Christ is integrated in all areas of our program throughout each day.
Ages of Children
Little Lambs - 2 years to 4 years
Big Sheep - 4 years to 5 years
School Age - 6 years to 12 years
Qualified E.C.E. Staff
Our staff of professionals are trained in the field of Early Childhood Education. They are encouraged to receive upgrading each year. Each teacher has been selected for their Christian committment, personal qualities as well as their professional competence .
DAYS and HOURS of OPERATION
The preschool and school age programs run from Monday to Friday. The programs open from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. The Cool Kids Club (School Age Program) offers programs during P.D days, Christmas and March breaks and summer camp.
The Cool Kids Club will run from Monday to Friday for the school year. The C.K.C. program runs from 7:00 a.m. until school starts & when school ends until 6:00 p.m. Supervised walks to and from designated schools are part of the package. The four schools included in the walking program are David H. Church, St. Bernards, Regent Park and Orillia Christian School. The Cool Kids Summer Fun Club program is offered during the summer months with weekly theme camps including weekly trips as well.
We now have a video intercom system to ensure a secure facility.
FIRST AID
All of our staff holds a current First Aid, CPR and Safety certificate. Accidents are reported to the parent of the child involved when the child is picked up. Accident report forms are completed and kept on file.
