Service Committees

WANTED - YOUR PARTICIPATION

Since Orillia Christian School is maintained by you as members of the school society, your support, interest, and participation are essential to its operation. A helpful comment or a helping hand here or there can spur anyone on with greater joy and zeal. We look forward to such participation and communication from our members.

Participation in the school can take place at various levels:

If you have any suggestions, matters of concern, questions, or praise, please feel free to contact the Board chairman, the principal, or the chairpersons of the various committees. If the matter pertains to the classroom, feel free to contact individual staff members. We are here to serve each other.

The school is run by a Board, which consists of elected representatives from the Society. To assist the Board in this task there are several committees to which the Board appoints members. From time to time you may be asked to serve on a committee or stand for election. We ask that you consider these requests prayerfully.

In order to maintain the school facilities and programs the Society has set up the Parents In Action Committee. The PIA Committee has committed themselves to providing extra financial support through fund raising activities. Your assistance and support for the projects organized by this group will be appreciated.  Each parent will be asked to help out in some capacity throughout the year.

In the daily operation of the school there are ample opportunities for volunteer work. Field trips, classroom assistance, teacher aiding, help with special events and programs are just some of the areas where your participation would be appreciated. If you could help in any of these capacities, please contact our principal.

These are just some of the ways in which YOU as parents can participate in your school. Above all we seek your daily prayers that all our work may be done to the glory of our King.
